Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-11-01

This policy explains what personal data NudistMap processes when you visit the site and why. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to visitors from the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Controller

World Wyss Web, Reto Pascal Wyss, Mitteldorf 5e, 5637 Beinwil (Freiamt), Switzerland. Email: . Full details are in the imprint.

You do not need an account

NudistMap has no sign-up, no comments and no forms. We do not ask for your name, email or any other details to use the site.

Server logs

When you load a page, our hosting provider automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. We use this only to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors. Logs are deleted after a short period, normally within 30 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Map tiles

The interactive map loads map images from OpenFreeMap. Your browser connects to their servers directly, so they receive your IP address and the map area you view. This is needed to show the map (legitimate interest).

Saved places and location

Places you save are stored only in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot see them. Clear them on the saved page or by clearing your browser data.

"Near me" asks your browser for your location only when you click it. The position is used in your browser to sort places by distance and is not sent to us.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage statistics, for example which pages are visited most. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and processes a shortened IP address, browser and device data and the pages viewed. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. Google signals and ad personalisation are off. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More in Google's privacy policy.

Affiliate links

Some links to booking and travel sites are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). We do not set cookies for them. When you click one, you go to the partner's site, and that partner or its affiliate network may set cookies to attribute a booking to us. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Fonts

Fonts are served from our own domain. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or other font services.

Your rights

You can ask for information about the personal data we hold on you, and ask us to correct, delete or restrict it. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for data portability. Write to us by email: .

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or in the EU the data protection authority of your country.

Changes

We update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
